(bus reg no: b1731645n) which is a totally FREE service for over the phone advice. We can help you with determining whether your current Brick Cladding has asbestos, if it can have any repair work done to it and the like.

If we are unable to tell by simply looking at your brickwork if asbestos is present, we can for a fee have it clinically tested from which you will receive a certificate stating the presence or not.

This can be very important information if you are attempting to buy or sell a house. E.g. a house that DOES NOT have asbestos present may still have potential buyers thinking it may and thus limiting the sales opportunity. A certificate from an authorised Victorian testing laboratory could be the difference between a sale or not.

Similarly for those wanting to purchase a house with brick cladding - especially those buying the house for proposed alteration / demolition or re-cladding, it is also vital information as asbestos removal is costly and may need to be factored into any purchase price.

It is a safe bet to assume that any brick cladding that was installed prior to 1983 will more than likely contain asbestos. It is very important to note that only licensed operators can remove anything containing asbestos.
